I’m Jon Harris, and I am running for Congress to put service and accountability back at the center of government.
I was raised in a military family and enlisted in the Army at 20, serving as an Infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division. I deployed to Iraq, earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, and continued my service in the Army Reserve with deployments across the Middle East, rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW2).
Today, I support US Special Operations Command as a Senior Information Security Advisor while raising my family in Riverview with my wife, Jessica, and our two daughters.
I’m running for Congress to help rebuild a government worthy of the people it serves, one that listens, leads with integrity, and gets things done.

Health care costs too much and covers too little. The American Choice Health Plan builds on the Affordable Care Act to offer a public option—giving Americans the choice to keep their current insurance or enroll in a lower-cost, high-quality plan.
It lowers premiums by tying payments to Medicare rates, strengthens subsidies so many low-income families pay $0, and caps costs for the middle class. The plan also closes Florida’s Medicaid gap and automatically enrolls eligible uninsured residents.
With comprehensive coverage, lower drug prices, and support for hospitals and rural care, this plan delivers more choice, lower costs, and better access—without forcing anyone to switch their insurance.

As a longtime service member, Jon Harris understands the needs of veterans and military families. Veterans deserve timely healthcare, strong mental health support, and a fully funded VA system that prioritizes care over bureaucracy.
Key priorities include reducing VA wait times, improving mental health access, supporting military families during deployments, and ensuring that veterans receive the benefits they earned through their service.

Florida's economy and quality of life depend on protecting its natural environment. Issues such as red tide, coastal flooding, and water quality directly affect public health, tourism, and local businesses.
Federal investment in coastal resilience, water infrastructure, and environmental protection can help protect communities while also supporting economic growth. Protecting Florida's environment is not only about conservation. It is about safeguarding the future of local communities and the state economy.
4. Reproductive Freedom and Personal Liberty
Personal medical decisions should remain between individuals, their families, and their doctors. Government interference in private healthcare decisions threatens personal freedom and bodily autonomy.
This campaign supports restoring federal protections for reproductive rights and ensuring that women across the country have access to safe and legal reproductive healthcare.
